Join Us as a Charity Partner...

The Kent Charity Trek is an exciting endurance event organised by Kent Search and Rescue (KSAR) to bring together local charities, supporters, and the community for a day of challenge and fundraising.

Taking place along the beautiful North Downs Way, participants can choose between a 25km or 50km trek, all while raising vital funds for causes close to their hearts.

Our aim is simple – to create a large-scale, professional fundraising event that’s open to charities of all sizes, without the heavy costs or logistics usually involved in running your own challenge event.

Why We Created the Kent Charity Trek

For the past decade, KSAR has successfully organised and supported large charity challenge events across the South East. However, we’ve seen that many smaller charities can struggle to participate due to the high upfront costs and resources required.

The Kent Charity Trek changes that. KSAR takes on the full responsibility of organising and operating the event – from planning and logistics to safety and participant support – allowing charities of any size to benefit directly from the funds raised.

By joining us as a Charity Partner, your organisation can engage supporters in a professionally managed, highly visible event that raises money for both your cause and the life-saving work of KSAR.

What’s Planned for 2026

Our next trek will take place on Saturday 16 May 2026, starting at Fort Amherst in Chatham and following the scenic North Downs Way.

  • 25km route – finishing just north of Maidstone

  • 50km route – finishing at Eastwell Manor Hotel & Spa

Participants will experience stunning Kent countryside, excellent event support, and the satisfaction of making a real difference for local charities.

How the Partnership Works

As a Charity Partner, there are no upfront costs or financial commitments for your organisation.

  • You’ll receive 70% of all funds raised through our official fundraising platform, Enthuse.

  • KSAR retains 30%, which supports our operational costs and helps ensure the event is safely and professionally managed.

  • Entry fees are kept by KSAR to cover event delivery costs.

We’ll handle all fundraising administration – collecting funds and Gift Aid – and transfer your charity’s share directly to you after the event.

You can also purchase discounted participant places, which can be offered to your supporters to boost your own fundraising campaigns.

Why Partner with Kent Search and Rescue

This will be the third year of the Kent Charity Trek, and we’re proud of the trust and experience we’ve built.

KSAR is a fully volunteer-run charity with over 100 trained members, all skilled in navigation, first aid, and incident response, and vetted by Kent Police.

We have successfully supported major events for organisations such as the British Heart Foundation and Ellenor Hospice, ensuring every trek is safe, well-organised, and enjoyable for participants and partners alike.

How You Can Get Involved
