Become a Charity Partner
We are emailing many of the charities in the County to get them to sign up as partners for the 2nd Kent Charity Trek, which is being organised for 17 May 2025 by Kent Search and Rescue (KSAR), a Kent Charity who support Kent Police and the other Emergency Services looking for high risk missing people in the county.

WHAT WE ARE PLANNING?
The 2025 Trek will take place on Saturday 17 May 2025 but will have 2 start points this year. One in the morning at The Historic Fort Amhurst in Chatham along the North Downs Way with a 25km ending just north of Maidstone at the White Horse Country Park, a second 25km route starting around midday at White Horse and finishing at Eastwell Manor Hotel and Spa. Alternatively, those taking part can choose to undertake the whole 50km trek!
WHY ARE WE DOING IT?
For the last 10 years KSAR have organised and run large scale challenge events for
charities in the South-East – these events, whilst being highly profitable
require a material investment to run and hence can exclude smaller
charities…despite being extremely popular with supporters, it is time to
change.
KSAR are organising and operating the Trek in return for a share of revenue from
participating charities. We ran it successfully in 2024 and we aim to make it even bigger and even better in 2025!
WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH ME AND MY CHARITY?
As a representative of your charity, we need you there. We need as many charities based in the county to help us. We have all the expertise and volunteers to run the event, but we need access to your
supporters and mailing lists to make sure the event is viable and raises funds
for us all. It really is win-win for both us and your charity.
WHY CAN I TRUST KSAR?
We have around 100 volunteers on-call, who are all skilled
in first aid and navigation as well as holding Kent Police Vetting. We have
supported other organisations including the British Heart Foundation and
Ellenor Hospice with similar events and have both the experience and logistics
to make the event a success.
